Capcom recently sat down at an investor briefing and had some pretty interesting things to say in regards to the Ace Attorney series. Fans of the big haired lawyer may see him on the Switch in the near future, with the success of the console it’s not a huge surprise but it’s certainly good to hear Capcom directly talking about it.
Kotaku UK learned that Capcom are planning on bringing a couple of compilation titles to the Switch first, in the first half of 2018 which could span between April – October they’re looking to release the first three in the Ace Attorney series. Following on from this they will then bring games 4-6, which will then pave the way for a completely new title!
They’re planning on releasing (as we’ve heard it on the grapevine) another mainline game coming to the Switch and mobile devices in the later half of 2018, so it could be as little (or as long) as just over a year until a new Ace Attorney game. In between that, if what we’ve heard is true and you’re new to the series or haven’t ever ventured into the courtroom then the re-releases will give you a great starting point.
