Mark your calendars if you want to purchase Alan Wake before it’s gone. The game will officially be pulled from online stores May 16th. Why? Cue the music!
Or don’t. The music licensing for the game will expire on May 15th. That means Remedy Entertainment can’t sell the game in its current state until the music license is renegotiated. In some ways, it’s good for anyone who hasn’t played the game. You can pick it up cheap in the next few days. However, you can’t help but think how much it sucks for the team of developers that spent the better part of five years crafting it.
But, if you are looking to pick the game up, wait for the “Sunset Sale“.
During this Sunset Sale, which will start on May 13th, Remedy will be greatly reducing the price of Alan Wake, all of it’s DLC, and Alan Wake’s American Nightmare. Although, in-stores, Remedy can’t control the price of the games, on Steam you will be able to purchase all of this for a whopping 90% off!
So will you be getting Alan Wake now that it may soon be gone for good?
