Allison Road, a new photo-realistic horror game by new found UK studio Lilith Ltd., has many very excited at the very concept of their game. Following the complete annihilation of our souls courtesy of the Silent Hills cancellation, it appears creator of Allison Road Christian Kesler has come to resurrect our interest in the horror genre. Seriously, prepare to move away from the Silent Hills, and take a horrifying walk down Allison Road.
Created to pay homage to both the PT demo and Silent Hills, Allison Road seeks to deliver on what looked like a genre defining horror title. It’s atmospheric, and the sense of creepiness has once again been bolstered to the max with its photo-realistic visuals. There’s one thing, though. Allison Road doesn’t necessarily play like Silent Hills, but more like Gone Home. In Allison Road, you’re placed in a home tasked with uncovering the mystery of what happened in the house. You can venture throughout the home and even the outside yard searching for clues to examine. It’s actually quite terrifying.
Allison Road does look remarkably similar to Silent Hills, though. However, Christian Kesler did mention that the gameplay trailer was designed for the sole purpose of displaying the kind of frightening encounters that await the player. The demo merely showcases most of the “core mechanics” without the possibility of spoiling any of the actual game. The only thing not seen in the trailer is an inventory system that will be further explained at a later date.
As of right now, Allison Road does not have an official release date, but the studio will be aiming for something like Q3 of 2016. Christian Kesler has also stated he has been in discussions with PlayStation as well as [email protected] to try and bring Allison Road to both the PS4 and Xbox One. Oh wait, you wanted 14-minutes of gameplay for Allison Road? Well why didn’t you say so!
