How would you like to ride through the Mushroom Kingdom along side Mario, grabbing and throwing items to wreck your competition in a race to first place? Sounds too good to be true, right? Well don’t bother pinching yourself my friend because Bandai Namco has made this a possibility.
Last month Bandai Namco unveiled their latest VR arcade VR Zone in Shinjuku, Japan. The VR Zone is now home to the largest selection of VR arcade gaming in the world and host a variety of new fully immersive games most notably including Mario Kart Arcade GP VR.
Mario Kart Arcade GP VR consist of Mario Kart inspired arcade chairs with built in steering wheels and bucket seat designs. Players will don a HTC Vive headset along with two motion controlled wrist straps. This will allow players to reach out and grab items and then use those items to unleash total mayhem on anyone brave or foolish enough to get in their way.
