Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Rocksteady Games have officially announced that Batman: Arkham Knight, the epic conclusion to the Batman: Arkham video game trilogy, will launch in stores June 2nd, 2015. Along with the release date announcement, WB Games has also revealed two, schwag-packed special edition packages.
Originally scheduled to launch this Fall 2014 season, the game was delayed, unexpectedly to eager gamers, by developer Rocksteady Games to ensure that fans of the franchise are offered the most definitive Batman experience ever produced in what could be the studio’s final Batman-based title. Batman: Arkham Knight will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC… sorry, Xbox 360/ PS3 owners.
The first of two collector’s editions revealed this morning were the Arkham Knight Limited & Batmobile Edition packages. The Akrham Knight Limited Edition, which will retail for $99.99, is set to include a copy of the full game with a limited edition SteelBook case, an 80-page concept art book, an exclusive comic book, three alternate skin based from the current DC Comics “New 52” comic arcs as well as a collector’s Batman Memorial Statue.
While that in itself is pretty frickin’ awesome, the second of two collector’s edition announced, the Batmobile Edition, comes back with all the same goodies as the previously announced Limited Edition, only instead of the Batman statue, consumers will get a transformable Batmobile statue manufactured by Triforce. The Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile Edition will retail for $199.99.
