The next installment to the Battlefield franchise, Battlefield Hardline, recently received a closed beta on PS4 and PC. The beta had been scheduled to end today, but EA has officially extended the life of the beta for one whole week.
The beta which is available now for PS4 and PC will end on Thursday, June 27th. You can officially sign up to receive your beta key here. Visceral games has been working on Battlefield Hardline which moves from the traditional war scene into a cops vs. robbers setting. Interestingly enough, it’s also the first time DICE will not be leading development for one of the Battlefield games and it will be Viscerals first time on something other than Dead Space. Here’s the multiplayer trailer shown at E3 this past week.
The beta offers one map with two different game modes, Heist and Blood Money. Players who reach level 10 in the beta will have access to a special battlepack when the game releases as well as $1000 in game currency if Facebook sharing is enabled. General Manager of DICE, Karl-Magnuss Troedsson stated earlier this week that the Battlefield Hardline beta will be making its way onto the Xbox One. Though the beta coming to Xbox One will be a different kind than the one released on PS4 and PC. Whether that means a different map with different game types, we will find out when the Battlefield Hardline beta releases on Xbox One.
No specific date has been given for when the Xbox One version of the Battlefield Hardline beta will be available, but odds are it will be announced in the coming weeks. We will also be having a first impressions on the beta coming soon. Battlefield Hardline launches on October 21st on PS3, PS4. Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
