SDCC brings us the best trailers year after year, and this year is no different. From returning series to new movies there is something for everyone here.
Here are the best trailers of San Diego Comic Con 2017:
Amercian Horror Story: Cult
This looks super creepy with all the clowns dancing in unison. It reminds me of last year when there were those clown sightings in the middle of the night chasing people.
It looks like that is what they were going for with this new trailer for the upcoming season of the show. If you have never watched this series don’t worry as each season is stand alone and there are different themes. You should checked them out because apparently they are all connected and exist in the same world.
Did you see all those explosions!? Neat, huh? We finally get a better look at Steppenwolf who is our bad guy this time around. The best thing about this trailer is that it doesn’t give out the plot. I honestly have no idea why everyone is doing anything in this trailer, but I do enjoy watching Wonder Woman kick some ass in slo-mo, and it turns out Aquaman does not suck underwater. And let’s be honest Alfred was talking to Superman, everyone knows he’s alive right? Fine, I’ll just mildly consider that it is not Superman and maybe, just maybe, is another superhero. But who might this be… ? Yep, it’s Green Lantern, everybody loves Green Lantern.
Stranger Things Season 2
So much stuff happened here. We get to see that the gang’s ghost busters equipment works, old arcade nostalgia, who draws like that? This kid is very artistic I would just have used one page to draw the big spider monster thing. Eleven is alive and kicking hurray! Sweet Thriller mix, enough said.
There’s the banter between all the heroes that we wanted to see, along with some hallway action that is the strong suit of these Marvel Netflix shows. Sigourney Weaver is looking like an intimidating villain. What else do you want from this show?
I understand your concerns… after all, you did not watch four different shows for this not to pay off. So far this is looking good so hope is still up for when this show comes out next month.
Thor and Hulk have the best interactions if only because they’re both brutes. We get to see more of the plot this time. It’s more of a space epic than the story of a god, as we see Hela being hella villainous, and Thor having to rescue his brother Loki to save Asgard by using laser guns. That epic Valkyries scene doe…
Ready Player One
Holy shit! Did you see the thing and the other thing? This movie looks like it’s coming along awesomely! There is so much nerd culture in this tiny trailer I don’t even know where to start; Charlie and the Chocolate Factory music (I get it!), Deadpoool and Harley Quinn are hanging out together, there so many characters in that one scene, A-team van, Lara Croft on that car from Christine, maybe Dizzy from Gears of War, Mad Max car, the freakin’ Delorean, the freakin’ motorcicle from Akira, Iron Giant, Freddy Krueger, Duke Nukem, keys fit in keyholes. I’m pretty sure I missed a whole bunch of stuff so let me know what I missed in the comments or tweet it at me with a lot of exclamation points. If you’re a real big fan you can tell me about the qr code on that one car…
Ready Player One is based on the book of the same name where we follow Wade who is on this giant easter egg hunt to save this virtual reality world full of 80’s references. I don’t want to spoil the whole story so this is what you get, but trust me it is more awesome than I made it sound, a lot more awesome.
Best Trailers of San Diego Comic Con 2017
You know, this was all based on my opinion so don’t hate me if I did not include your favorite show’s trailer. Although, I do want to know what has been happening in The Walking Dead since I’ve stopped watching it and I’m ready to grab my shittin’ pants.
What the hell is Westworld? And is Arrow still a thing? You know what? You win, enjoy you’re trailers.
