From now until May 21st, players can purchase a new Mercy skin AND help support breast cancer research. Yes you read that correctly! Blizzard has teamed up with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) to release Pink Mercy, a special charity skin.
The Pink Mercy skin is now available for $14.99. From Blizzard’s press release, 100% of the proceeds of the Pink Mercy charity skin will be donated to BCRF, and there is a guaranteed minimum donation pf $250,000 USD. If you’re not an Overwatch player but would still like to show your support, you can purchase a limited-edition Pink Mercy t-shirt designed by community artist VICKISIGH. You can now preorder the t-shirt for $30 USD over at the Blizzard Gear Store. 100% of the proceeds ($15 USD) from the sale of the t-shirt sales ($30 USD) will be donated to BCRF.
That’s not the only way you can show your support. If you log into Overwatch from May 8th to May 21st, you will unlock a BCRF-themed player icon. Blizzard has also partnered with community artist ONEMEGAWATT to create a series of Pink Mercy Twitch Drops which includes a new player icon and four brand new sprays. These will only be available from May 8th until May 21st on select Twitch channels.
