Marvel fans aren’t the only ones who love Captain America. Chris Evans, who has played the patriotic masked man since 2010, wants to see more of him too.
“I’ve really found a level of comfort with the character over the course of, what is it, 7 movies or something,” Evans said in an interview with MTV International, in which he mentions being interested in the Captain making some appearances in Marvel’s upcoming films. Of course he didn’t make any mention to which of these other films, if any, Captain America would be in, and with the ending of Civil War, it may even be a bit difficult for Steve Roger’s to show his beautiful face, or if he will even be considered a hero anymore by the citizens of the Marvel Universe.
But, speaking as a fan of the Captain and of Marvel in general, Evans went on to suggest that he would love for the Captain to poke his head into some of the other movies slated to be arriving before the next Avengers piece. Specifically, he mentioned Guardians of The Galaxy 2, though he did state, “But it’s very outer spacey. Cap’s more of an Earth-bound guy.” He also expressed interest in the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming and working more with the new friendly, neighborhood web slinger, Tom Holland. However, Robert Downey Jr., who fans have come to know and love as our egotistical Tony Stark, is listed to be part of the cast in Homecoming, making it a little less likely that Evans’ will be anywhere near the project after the wake of their characters’ last…dispute. Yeah, let’s go with that word.
Even though Evan’s may not get his wish to be part of either, Guardians or Spider-Man, he did go on to say “Any way they want to use me, in any other type of cameo, it’s fun to be a part of this chapter of cinema, you know, Marvel is really doing something that no one else is doing.”
Don’t you just love him?
