Square Enix just gave teaser after teaser on the upcoming Patch 3.3 for Final Fantasy XIV Heavensward. Get ready for the Revenge of the Horde.
Basically we got shown a lot of teasers on what’s to come. Some were meatier reveals than others but the general idea is clear, this patch is going to be BIG.
The most surprising reveal was the upcoming collaboration between Yo-Kai Watch and Final fantasy XIV. Each class will get their own Yo-Kai Watch themed weapons.
As a part of the collaboration, you’ll also be able to get a new mount and new minions. Although no images of the minions have been revealed, we get to see what the new mount is!
Personally I’m not sure who came up with the idea of combining Yo-Kai Watch and Final fantasy XIV, but some of these weapons look too cool to not enjoy this collaboration!
Patch 3.3 will also, of course, continue the story of Heavensward and bring about the final chapter of the Dragonsong War. While no details on what the end will bring has been revealed, a simple screenshot teaser shows what we will see.
Patch 3.3 will also include even more Beast tribe missions. This time we’ll be assisting the Moogles and friendly dragons in the region.
For now the new quest area for the beast tribes is being kept a secret, but it looks like a nice enough place.
You’ll also be experiencing two new dungeons. Well, newish. he dungeon, Sohr Khai, will be a part of the new main scenario quests. Also, Hullbreaker Isle will get a hard mode. The dungeon has been turned into some sort of Maelstrom training ground. It’s promised that there will be no octopus inside this time. There will be new trials as well, and a new extreme mode for one.
There was more covered in the announcement and you can check out the new solo dungeon and more in an article to come soon!
This new patch is currently set to release sometime this summer with no solid release date yet.
