Diablo 3 has finally arrived on the Switch and that means we can now go dungeon crawling with our friends on the go. But Blizzard may have just given us one more reason to buy the game on Nintendo’s hybrid console. That reason being the adorable Diablo 3 Amiibo.
Blizzard has announced quite a lot at this years BlizzCon, but one of the best surprises was the announcement that Diablo 3 would soon have Amiibo support. It seems that support is gonna come in the form of an adorable Loot Goblin Amiibo.

The Amiibo is set to release in December and it sports some unique packaging compared to any of the other Amiibo we have seen released thus far. It’s an absolutely gorgeous piece that any Diablo fan will want to display in their collection.
It will retail for $15.99 (so normal Amiibo price), and it can be pre-ordered right now through GameStop’s online web store. So if you’re interested, you better jump on it now because we all know how fast the Dark Souls Amiibo went.
So what exactly does a Loot Goblin Amiibo do? Well, it seems to actually have some pretty cool functions. According to the product description, it will give you a treasure goblin with a unique skin to celebrate the game’s release on Switch and it will also open up a mysterious portal in the game. Where that portal will lead is still a mystery that the description says we will get more details on later. Regardless it sounds like its gonna be pretty awesome.
Diablo 3 Eternal Collection also introduced Ganondorf as a playable character in the game. So it looks like Nintendo and Blizzard are establishing a pretty good relationship with all these Nintendo exclusive goodies. Here’s to hoping we will see plenty more Nintendo support from Blizzard.
