We got a real good look at the new Doom game coming from Bethesda, which is set to release spring of 2016, but now a good amount of that E3 gameplay has been organized into a bloodbath of a trailer. If you did not see the E3 gameplay of Doom, I have you covered, and you can watch it here, and to see the new Doom Gameplay Trailer, you can watch it here. Bethesda has really stepped up to the plate this year with all of these sequels to our very favorite games. Fallout 4 was announced and everyone went wild, Doom was announced and half of us thought we’d be sick.
When I think of games with the best gore, my mind searches through its entire library of memories and pulls up only 2 search results. Mortal Kombat and Doom. Both of these IPs have been known for their intense violence and gore for as long as their series has been around. Just as with Mortal Kombat X did, Doom has stepped up and decided not to disappoint us with beautiful new graphics, and even more intense violence leading to an even bloodier battlefield. E3 showed us some new executions that can be performed when an enemy’s health is low. In one scenario, one the the hellspawn demons got curb stomped by his own foot, Marcus Fenix would be proud.
Overall, its literally nothing new, but its still exciting because its been organized into a concise trailer for those of us who don’t have the time to watch the 20 minute E3 gameplay. This trailer is high octane, fast, brutal, bloody, and awesome. I cannot wait for spring of 2016 when I will be playing this game. If not for the base game, then for its very neat gamemode, Snapmap, which is very similar to Halo’s Forge. You can create your own map and use a normal game mode for when it’s played, or be even more creative and make your own game mode. You can even change the game logic which will add up to countless possibilities.
