Between Dragonball Super, and Dragonball FighterZ, the Dragonball franchise has been in the mindset of many more people since the airing of Dragonball Z. So, what is the next step for the franchise? Bandai Namco is bringing the series to devices everyone own; mobile devices, that is.
As a mobile game, accessibility is key. And so, like most mobile games, the game is designed to be played with a single finger. You will be able to play as various characters from the series, from Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, Piccolo, and more, including an original Saiyan character drawn by series’ creator, Akira Toriyama himself!
And how will this fighting take place? Through an elaborate card game system! Play your cards wisely to beat your opponent to a pulp! Details on how to attain cards are unavailable for now, but it will likely use gatcha mechanics combined with traditional booster pack pulling.
The visuals of the game combine with modern HD graphics supplemented with frames taken from the original manga and anime. Scenes such as Nappa firing the Giant Storm and Piccolo from the original Dragonball manga are such examples.
Speaking of designs, Pan, a character appearing in her design from Dragonball GT is present, suggesting characters from the various shows in the series may appear as well. Goku Black? Broly? Obscure characters like Ran Fuan? In a mobile game, there is much more freedom, so who knows who will be included down the road!
Last but not least, the game will feature worldwide online play, so get ready to challenge all kinds of opponents and discover new power levels!
