E3 2017 has been a blast this year for gamers around the globe, there’s been some great announcements from Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo and I’m here to talk about one of those gaming giants…more specifically Super Mario Odyssey
During the Treehouse event Nintendo did reveal that you can play with a friend in Super Mario Odyssey, that’s right! 2 player co-op!
As you probably guessed, it sounds quite similar to the “co-op” play in Super Mario Galaxy if not a teensy bit deeper, the second player will be in control of Mario’s new companion; Cappy. You can flutter around Mario whilst he does all the heavy lifting, if there’s any hard to reach items though Cappy will come in handy as he can collect them for you. The Treehouse event showed them holding the joycon sideways so it looks like that’s how you’ll be playing.
There hasn’t really been any further news based around the different control methods available but it’s good to know that if you have a friend over they can jump in on the action!
Up there you can see Cappy in all his natural glory, I think he may become one of my favourite Mario companions to be honest. The different possibilities that are available with him being able to manipulate various other objects and enemies in the environment is awesome.
Do you think you’ll be sitting down with a friend in when Super Mario Odyssey launches in October? Let us know in the comments below or tweet us @wtfgamersonly.
