In the Nintendo Direct E3 2018, Fire Emblem for the Switch has been revealed. The game will be called Fire Emblem Three Houses. I suspect that we’ll find out more about the game during the Treehouse Live streams this week.
Here is a short description of the new title from Nintendo:
“A brand-new Fire Emblem game with a new story and characters is coming to Nintendo Switch. The game takes place on Fódlan, where the Church of Seiros exercises great power over the land and its people. This turn-based tactical RPG will put new strategic twists on battling, with formations of troops supporting individual units on the battlefield. Do you have what it takes to survive and conquer in this brand-new Fire Emblem game? Fire Emblem Three Houses is available Spring 2019!”
I’m honestly excited for this latest entry. It looks fantastic, and one of the main lords is wielding an ax?! I wonder how the gameplay will change with the addition of being able to possibly control troops to support the individual units. On top of that, their designs look great and I’m glad to see that there will be limited uses on weapons again.
I do think that it’s interesting that there’s a new class called Aristocrat in the latest title. It seems like units in this class will be able to wield a sword and an ax. I wonder if we’ll see new classes being added into this game. It seems like there will be an Archer and possibly a Lord class. I hope we will see more of the title during the Treehouse Live this week!
Fire Emblem Three Houses is planned to be released in Spring 2019.
