Epic Games has confirmed plans to throw a 2-day event dubbed the “Fortnite Summer Block Party” in LA next month, in commemoration of the ever-popular F2P multiplayer game.
The Fortnite Summer Block party, officially sponsored by Epic Games, is scheduled to take place following E3 week on Saturday, June 15th and Sunday, June 16th, 2019. The event will take place at The Forum in Inglewood, California. Day 1 on Saturday will feature a first-ever “Creative Tournament”, where “celebrities” and online streamers will duel in eight teams of four in a brand new game mode created specifically for the event. Day 2 on Sunday offer the return of the “Fortnite Celebrity Pro-Am,”in which 50 different teams will compete to the death (just kidding! It’s just video games, guys/gals..) for the Victory Royale.
Streamers and other celebrities scheduled to make appearances at the Fortnite Summer block Party include streaming mega-power Ninja, as well as Dillion Francis, Jordan Fisher, Kitty Plays and “Panic! At The Disco’s” Brendon Urie, among others. The press release describes other fun events to follow the the Summer block party as well: “Meet more than 20 of your favorite Fortnite characters including Peely, Fishstick, and Brite Bomber. Glide on the island’s ziplines, visit the Pirate Ship, or play a round of Fortnite Mini Golf. Get your fill at the Durr Burger, Pizza Pete’s, Sofdeez Ice Cream Shop and other in-game eateries brought to life. You can even complete a real-world Battle Pass to earn collectible swag.”
