Ever since Final Fantasy XV’s release in 2016, Square Enix has come up with some pretty strange collaborations to promote their legendary RPG franchise. However, the announcement that Everybody’s Golf and Final Fantasy would be teaming up, might just be the best collaboration yet.
Sony has announced that from February 26th to March 12th you will be able to participate in the Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Collaboration Cup. This cup will be available for all online players to take part in. Anyone who does participate in the cup will walk away with some sweet Final Fantasy swag just for playing. An exclusive Cactuar hat and Cactuar hoodie for your avatar will be awarded to everyone who participates in the preliminary rounds of the tournament. These items will only be obtainable by partaking in the cup so make sure you log in to play.
If you happen to make it to the finals round of the tournament you will be awarded a Moogle suit that transforms your Everybody’s Golf avatar into a full-blown Moogle. These in-game suits will be limited to those who score high enough to enter the finals, so be sure to start practicing your swing if you want one.
Finally, everyone will be able to download a free Final Fantasy themed golf cart. However, if you really want to ride in style you will be able to purchase a new vehicle type with the Chocobo DLC. That’s right, starting February 26th you will be able to purchase a rideable Chocobo to replace your golf cart altogether. The Chocobo sports a nifty visor and a caddy bag and will be rideable in any part of the game where you can drive a golf cart.
So how excited are you guys for this collaboration? Let us know if you will be participating in the tournament in the comments and be sure to check out more gaming news and articles right here at WTFGamersonly.
