Uncharted: The Lost Legacy started as a story dlc for Uncharted 4, but as Naughty Dog kept on working on the game they decided/realized that this game had to be a complete stand alone experience. We found a lot of new things on the game during this past E3, and everything seems to be coming along awesomely.
The story this time around will focus on Chloe Frazer (best driver in the business) and Nadine Ross (kick ass mercenary) and their quest to find the Tusk of Ganesh, an ancient Indian artifact.
Chloe enlists Nadine to help her find this artifact, which is a good thing since there is this crazy insurgent leader named Asav who seeks to reinstate old laws and wants to find the artifact, making him cross paths with our heroines.
Expect references to past games and characters from the uncharted franchise, but cameos seem far fetched as Naughty Dog has said that this is a stand alone game.
Chloe and Nadine
Naughty Dog has focused this game a lot on our two heroines’ relationship which we will see grow as the game progresses.
Chloe has a sense of humor and a personality a lot like Drake, while Nadine is a pragmatic paramilitary hard-ass. It will be interesting to see how these two different personalities will interact together, especially since Chloe kinda likes to betray people. But really she was just playing at being bad to help, but she did do it a little too much.
Nadine is the straight woman to the funny woman in Chloe, both being survivors and kick ass women they have a lot in common.
I would be surprised if there are not already fanfics of the pair, because honestly:
The game play seems to be the same as Uncharted 4 from the climbing to the gun play. Don’t expect to find anything new from The Lost Legacy. Which is not a bad thing since those parts of the game are pretty frickin’ sweet.
Naughty dog has excelled in blending all these aspects in gameplay and that has made the Uncharted series into one of the best video game series ever.
In some interviews however, Naughty Dog said that The Lost Legacy will push more on exploration this time around in an even bigger way than before.
It also looks like we will be playing as Chloe with Nadine at our side, no word on if we will be playing as both; so Chloe being who she is you should also expect some driving sections in the game.
Do not worry about the game being a huge escort mission as Nadine’s AI seems to be holding her own on the following gameplay video.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will include the same multiplayer as Uncharted 4‘s multiplayer, including all the dlc plus some new Lost Legacy related goodies.
There will be cross play between the two games, so new players will get the chance to become a part of this awesome multiplayer community.
The game looks fantastic, and Naughty Dog knows how to animate faces so they have a more natural look and feel, unlike some other recently released games…
