Stardew Valley players might want to get their FarmersOnly.com profiles ready because you are gonna need a farming companion when Stardew Valley multiplayer goes live next month.
We have known that the incredibly popular farming sim, Stardew Valley, would be getting a multiplayer mode after the game’s creator, ConcernedApe, announced it was in the works earlier this year. After a long and impatient wait, we finally got a trailer for the new mode that reveals its PC launch on August 1st.
There is still no word on exactly when console owners can expect the update, just that it is coming shortly after its launch on PC. That could mean that we see it later in August or even sometime in September. Either way, it’s right around the corner and it looks awesome.
The trailer gives an in-depth look at what players can expect to experience in the Stardew Valley multiplayer mode, and man is it a lot. Not only will you farm together, but you will be able to compete in horse races, go fishing, play minigames, attend festivals, and more. Everything from the single player experience looks to be intact in the multiplayer.
This is exactly the kind of update that could give Stardew Valley a new life. Not that the game needs it considering it has already sold incredibly well. But being able to build up a farm with some friends is the perfect way to quadruple your progress during each of the in-game seasons.
I’m sure that we will see all kinds of crazy creations and shenanigans when fans finally do get their hands on it. Until then we will just have to keep farming on our own.
