Activision and Bungie have released the first teaser trailer for Destiny 2, the first non dlc, full sequel to 2014’s Destiny.
The teaser is titled “Last Call” and features Cayde 6, played again by Nathan Fillion, having a drink and recounting the tale of a battle in a way only Nathan Fillion could. We also see destruction taking place in what seems to be Destiny’s The Last City, possibly hinting at areas we might see in Destiny 2.
The teaser does not contain any gameplay from Destiny 2, but Bungie has announced that a worldwide reveal trailer will drop Thursday, March 30th at 10 a.m PT. This will hopefully reveal a launch date as well, which has previously been rumored to be Sep 8th according to leaked promotional materials also pointing to there being a Beta incoming for Destiny 2 as well.
The other bit of interesting news comes from the end of the teaser above which was posted to Playstation’s official Youtube channel. The end of the teaser states that Playstation 4 owners will get timed exclusives until at least fall of 2018. More details on this content is promised for later this summer, most likely to line up with whatever E3 showing Bungie and Activision might have planned for Destiny 2. Previously the first Destiny had timed exclusive content for the PS3 and PS4.
