It’s that time again, all Hallows Eve is upon us and all the realms from Eorzea to Azeroth are celebrating in their own way. We at WTFGamersOnly love to celebrate, so give us an occasion and we’ll join in the festivities. What are the festivities though? I’m glad you asked. Let’s jump into what’s going on throughout our gaming worlds to keep up with all the celebrations of Halloween in the places we frequent for fun.
I’ll start with the biggest MMO in history, of course World of Warcraft. As many of you already know, they’re continuing with the tradition of Hallows End in Azeroth.
“Hallow’s End is a celebration of the break between the Forsaken and the Scourge. Many tricks and treats await adventurers seeking holiday fun, including defeating the Headless Horseman, visiting inns and cities for fun items such as masks and costumes, and eating way too much candy in one sitting.
You’ll find a special Hallow’s End Wickerman set up and ready to burn in Stormwind and near the Undercity in the Ruins of Lordaeron. Every four hours, Genn Greymane and Lady Sylvanas will arrive to light each faction’s respective Wickerman in celebration of Hallow’s End. Of course, it wouldn’t be Hallow’s End without a little mischief.”
Come for the candy, and stay for the Headless Horsemen. Be quick about your interaction and participation though, seeing as the event ends November 1st (THAT’S TOMORROW)! There’s also a Pumpkin Carving Contest, and though it ended on October 29th, there’s still time to check out all the entires HERE from last year, and possibly get some ideas to get those last minute carvings done!
Wildstar, the recently Free to Play MMO has a little Halloween celebration of its own for the planet of Nexus. This little MMO is pulling out all the stops when it comes to celebrations for Halloween this year. I’m talking outdoor content, in-game housing decor, events in the capital cities, and the mystery of Jack Shade.
“GATHER ‘ROUND EVERYONE, SHADE’S EVE IS HERE,
to fill your dreary lives with joy and good cheer! Or maybe it’ll turn dreary to scared and afraid, as the festivities sour with the tale of Jack Shade. A menacing figure of allegorous ancestry—less about jump-scares and more about chemistry. Thought to have begun as a space-faring germ (with symptoms that’d make even ol’ Mondo Zax squirm) when a lone child emerged with apparent immunity, and created a vaccine for their entire community.”
The best part is, Wildstar is free, so all you’ve got to do is run to the website, download the game and join us in the Shade’s Eve event. Hurry though, the event ends November 2nd. Check out all the details HERE.
Welcome back to The Shadow of the Mad King, an annual holiday celebration held in the Tyria. Players will know that the event includes the “Ascent to Madness” which features the boss encounter of the Mad King’s Lair, where you fight King Oswald Thorn himself, or go trick-or-treating in the lair of the Mad King with all the other players. You can also fight your way through the Mad King’s Clock Tower and enjoy the festivities in Lion’s Arch.
Check out all the events going on HERE and hurry to catch them before they’re gone!
Eorzea is at it again, it’s All Saint’s Wake. Come celebrate the day with events and fun, with all your free company friends!
“Children prepare for a night of costumed capers, but will the dark bring tasty treats or terrible tricks? The Continental Circus has returned for another year of frightful fun. But to ensure their mischief does not turn to mayhem, an investigator from the Adventurers’ Guild seeks an assistant in his work. Seek him out to see how you can help.”
With new mounts (a broomstick) armor (a wickedly sexy witches outfit) and new items to collect, head to the Adventurer’s Guild in Old Gridania to get started. Hurry though, you cannot complete the quests once the event is over, and it ends Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 6:59 a.m. (PST). Check out more details on the items with a map of where to start HERE.
There you have it friends! Enjoy your Halloween in your favorite worlds, and let us know what/how you celebrate in your respective worlds! I’m sure you’ll see us in some of them. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
