The famous Hatsune Miku is making her latest stops closer to home for those of us with PlayStation products. This Japanese pop idol has made her way into the hearts of many and has had quite a few celebrity appereances, including her stint as an opening act for Lady Gaga as well as being featured on a remix by Pharrell Williams. Probably her biggest US promo to date was her performance on the Late Show With David Letterman, but now she’s bringing her performance work to the small screen as the latest announced DLC for Persona 4. On top of that, Hatsune will be participating in a brand new title of her own for the PlayStation Vita and PS4. Keep reading to find out just what she will be up to!First let’s talk about Persona 4, since Hatsune Miku has found her way into the game as the latest paid DLC character. Players in Japan have had access to the Persona 4 DLC and can actually play as the pop princess, she and the latest DLC has been available in Japan since August 27th. Along with Hatsune Miouk, the game has DLC that allows you to dress up the Persona 4 casts as characters from other Persona games. Persona 4: Dancing All Night will be available for the PS Vita in North America sometime in Fall 2015. Miku’s song is “Heaven feat.Hatsune Miku（ATOLS Remix).”
In addition to her appearance in Persona 4: Dancing All Night, Hatsune Miku is also making her PS4 debut in a brand new title all her own. Project Diva X has been announced for the PS4 and PS Vita. Sega is bringing Hatsune Miku back for an anniversary project and you can check out the official page (in Japanese) HERE.
Project Diva X is set to be released on the PS Vita in Japan come March 2016, with a PlayStation 4 release also slated for some time in 2016. It’s the 8th anniversary and according to Gematsu the game can be described as follows, “The concept of the Project Diva X is “Live & Produce” (Concerts & Producing). There will be a new, still to be detailed mode called “Live Quest Mode” (Concert Quest Mode) which will offer a new way to enjoy the game.” You can read more at Gematsu HERE.
Of course Hatsune doesn’t stop there, since she has an upcoming 3DS title as well. Hatsune Miku: Prokect Mirai DX. Worthplaying.com has a simple explanation of exactly what this title is all about.
“Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX… In collaboration with Good Smile Company, a popular Japanese figure company, Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX features Miku and all of her friends in their Nendoroid figure style. The game features 48 full-length versions of fan-favorite songs players can challenge themselves with by trying to match the rhythm in “Tap Mode” and “Button Mode,” each with multiple difficulty levels, which can be further augmented with challenge and support items… – players can also customize a virtual apartment for their favorite Miku character with decorations, seasonal items, and more. The Mirai Theater has replay functions so players can watch their favorite videos and add scrolling commentary. Choreograph entirely new routines by making new moves in the Dance Studio, and compose brand new song phrases in My Tune.”
