Its been years for the franchise but it’s clear that some statement is being made about the beloved Skate series with a tease via twitter from the Senior Manager of Community Engagement at EA about Skate 4.
On January 24th, Daniel Lingen tweeted a simple #skate4 and since, fans of the franchise have been clamoring to hear details about the unannounced game.

While there are absolutely no details on release dates or whether it even exists or not, it seems like a safe assumption that Skate 4 is officially a reality for gamers across all consoles.
The Skate series challenged the titan of skateboarding games, Tony Hawk: Pro Skater, by introducing a level of realism not yet seen in video games. Rather than using buttons, you controlled your tricks via the right thumbstick which somewhat mimicked real foot movements while skateboarding.
The previous iteration in the series Skate 3 was released May 11th, 2010, leaving a significant gap for the franchise, most believing that 3 was going to be the final installment.
For Xbox One owners, Skate 3 was made available via backwards compatibility this past December, possibly contributing to the sudden demand and excitement behind Skate 4.
While its most likely to be a ways away if the return of the skateboarding juggernaut is true, there’s always EA Play to look forward to an official announcement.
