Another year, another MMO holiday celebration round-up. I love when players are able to celebrate real world holidays with the friends and family we’ve created in our virtual worlds! So, what worlds are celebrating, how are they celebrating and what will you gather your friends and guild mates together to eat at your great hall feast? Find out below!
The newest addition to my annual holiday party list is Wildstar! The MMORPG that’s recently gone free to play is as adorable and quirky as it has ever been, with Protostar’s Winterfest! Wildstar has taken a unique and comedic approach on the holiday season by celebrating the monetary value that comes along with the season.
Wildstar has quite a bit going on, but the easiest event is the giveaway you’re automatically entered into when you login to your account from now through December 29th. The 12 Days of Winterfest giveaway is literally that easy, you log in and you’re entered. Check out the rest of the details and the prizes available HERE. Along with the giveaway, there are a ton of in-game activities to complete, which include buying and giving gifts, traversing the SuperMall-In-The-Sky and going on a crazy shopping frenzy, participating in a ton of public events including riding the Snowtron 3000 and complete all the Winterfest dailies to complete as a full Winterfest Wonderland Extravaganza. Check out all the details on the official site HERE, and maybe i’ll see you in Wildstar!
The Starlight Celebration is officially underway within Eorzea.
Starting TODAY and ending on December 31st, the Starlight Celebration has made its way back to Final Fantasy XIV. This year, its your job to make sure all celebration events go according to plan, to keep the starlight merriment on track. To participate, head to the Upper Decks of Limsa Lominsa and speak to the reporter for the Harbor Herald. Of course this will include new armor to dress as Santa and new furnishing items for your home. Be sure to check out the Starlight Celebration before its gone for the year!
You can check out the official page and its information HERE.

Azeroth celebrates another Winter Veil
I had a moment in my Throwback Thursday post yesterday to express how much I adore the MMO and its ability to bring players together from all over the world to celebrate and enjoy the holiday festivities with one another. Of course, World of Warcraft is no exception with another Feast of Winter Veil. Greatfather Winter is at it again, visiting the orphanage and bringing joy to children and adults alike. Running from today until January 2nd, players will be able to enjoy the iconic festival that comes but once a year in Azeroth.
On top of all the fun, you can look forward to gaining new pets, armor, and recipes with new attractions that have been added over the years to the Winter Veil celebration. Grab your favorite holiday gear and go show Azeroth how Christmas is really done. Full details for the celebration are available HERE.
With the holidays fast approaching (Christmas is next week already) don’t forget to spend time with your families, but also with the friends and family that help you brave brand new worlds as adventurers and guildmates. Hopefully we can spend some time together and celebrate the holidays in one of the amazing and fantastic worlds. Meet you online, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
