Kingdom Heart 3 is without a doubt one of the most anticipated titles to come out in quite a while. With its arrival just upon the horizon, Square Enix has now released some new information on just how long we can expect to spend with the Kingdom Hearts 3 campaign.
Square Enix PR confirmed with Geek.com that players can expect the campaign to take around 40-50 hours to complete. This, of course, is just the amount of time it should take to mainline the story without taking into consideration any of the extra features like mini-games and side quests.
To complete everything there is to do in Kingdom Hearts 3 will take 80+ hours, Square Enix confirmed. That is quite a hefty amount of content, especially when compared to some of the series past campaigns.
Below are the completion times for all games in the Kingdom Hearts series according to stats gathered by HowLongToBeat.com.
-Kingdom Hearts – (Main Story) 27 hrs – (Completionist) 61 hrs 30 min
-Kingdom Hearts 2 – (Main Story) 32 hrs – (Completionist) 65 hrs
-Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories – (Main Story) 23 hrs 30 min – (Completionist) 51 hrs 30 min
-Kingdom Hearts RE: Coded – (Main Story) 16 hrs – (Completionist) 46 hrs
-Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days – (Main Story) 26 hrs 30min – (Completionist) 53 hrs
-Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep – (Main Story) 30 hrs – (Completionist) 68 hrs
-Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance – (Main Story) 23 hrs – (Completionist) 50 hrs
The Kingdom Hearts 3 campaign will be the longest of all of the games in the series so far. However, it is still unsure if it will have the most bonus content. 80+ hours implies that there is at least 30 hours of mini-games and extra content.
Either way it looks like fans can expect to spend a lot of time with Sora, Goofy, and Donald on this new adventure. What do you guys think? Is the Kingdom Hearts 3 campaign too long, too short, or just right? Be sure to let us know and don’t forget to check out more great gaming news and articles right here on WTFGamersOnly.
