Microsoft has issued an update to Xbox One owners that allows the ability to “snap” your skype chat window and function other apps on the console at the same time.
Now when gamers open the skype app on their Xbox One console’s dashboard, an update will prompt. After agreeing with terms, running the update & once it’s been installed, players can now “snap” their skype app to the right side of the screen and continue either playing a game or watching a movie/ TV show on Netflix, as well as using other various entertainment apps. No longer will you have to end your game to converse with Mom when you should be studying for finals. It is also worth mentioning that Microsoft originally revealed the option to “snap” between skype & other apps via the Xbox One console at last year’s E3 expo during their press conference, stating the ability would be functional by launch. Hey, better late than never, right?
The latest Xbox One update also adds the ability to separately adjust the volume settings between skype calls and the in-game chat by way of the newly added Sound Mixer option, making conversations between the two easier to comprehend.
