LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, is about to become something else.
The release date of game isn’t even announced yet, but a new DLC for it has been revealed. At New York Comic Con it was revealed that Arrow will soon be joining the LEGO Batman roster. We’re not talking simply a new character to play, we’re talking a whole a whole new segment of game play based on the CW show, Arrow, including new missions, new characters, and new voiceovers done by the Arrow himself, Stephen Amell.
The new playable characters include Oliver Queen/”Arrow,” Diggle, the smart and beautiful Felicity Smoak, Helena Bertinelli/”Huntress,” Slade Wilson, Roy Harper, Sarah Lance/”Black Canary,” and Malcolm Merlin.
Where will this new dlc take us in the LEGO Batman universe? We’re going to the Island. Lian Yu, the source of all of Arrow’s training as featured in the show that crafted him into the true hero Starling City needs, even as he is viewed as “the vigilante”. Players will get to explore a new campaign based on Arrow’s origin from top to bottom: going from plane crash, to the minefields, and inevitably battling through mercenaries. While this story unfolds, it will be narrated the entire story by Stephen Amell, who plays Oliver Queen/Green Arrow on CW’s hit series, Arrow.
With Stephen Amell actually stepping into the booth to voice the LEGO version of his television counterpart, there will be loads of references to the show to compliment all the scenery, events and familiar areas recreated from the show to the game.
It’s also been revealed that this dlc will include new vehicles but more of that to come.
