Marvel fans rejoice, there’s another LEGO game coming out based on the popular superhero franchise and I for one can’t wait! The first game came out back in 2015 and it was a right hoot, there’s a 16 second teaser trailer you can watch too!
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is due to be released in November 2017 and is certainly an unexpected bolt out of the blue, I thought they were done with the game after the first one. But no it seems there’s still some steam in it yet.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes was one of my favourite of the LEGO games’ series, the gameplay was no different to any other LEGO game except for the fact you could parade around New York City as you pleased and it had more of an open-world feel to it I guess.
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 lets you explore Chronopolis much in the same style as you would in New York for the previous encounter. You’ll also be visiting familiar locations from the Marvel universe as well as introducing some new heroes that weren’t in the previous title. The main villain will be Kang the Conqueror and there’ll be a four player co op mode so you don’t have to play alone.
Tom Stone, Managing Director at TT Games has released a short statement on the game as well:
“With a completely original branching storyline, LEGO® Marvel Super Heroes 2 introduces amazing new gameplay features, including the ability for characters to manipulate time and a four-player competitive Super Hero battling mode, with a huge array of brand new characters from the Marvel Universe, including old favorites in new guises, this game is sure to thrill both LEGO and Marvel fans, as well as newcomers to the series.”
Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 will be released on November 14th for PS4, Xbox One, PC and the Nintendo Switch date is currently listed as Holiday 2017.
