Microsoft’s Gamescom conference brought forth some pretty interesting news and reveals for the company. Perhaps one of the more interesting announcements was the new limited edition Minecraft Xbox One S bundle.
The bundle features 1 TB Xbox One S with grass block design ripped straight out of the game. Even more unique is the consoles underside which features a translucent window that allows you to see the red glowing wires that resembles the game’s redstones. The system itself will also have Minecraft themed power up and power down sounds and come with a vertical stand allowing you to see both sides of the consoles design as well. In addition to the console, the bundle will include a green Creeper controller and a digital download of Minecraft the game.
A Shadow of War Xbox One S bundle was announced as well, but it doesn’t sport a Shadow of War design and instead just includes a copy of the game as well as some DLC packs. It is interesting that both of these bundles will be the Xbox One S and not the Xbox One X that is coming later this year. Microsoft’s new high powered console is set to hit store shelves November 7th and it looks like you are going to have to make a choice over the cool design or the higher specs. The Xbox One X will more than likely get a limited edition design sometime down the road, but until then it looks like we will just have the choice of a black or white console.
In addition to the new Minecraft themed Xbox One S, a Minecraft pink pig controller will be released. Both the controller and console bundle will be available for purchase on October 3rd, however with limited edition collector items such as this, it might be a good idea to pre-order if you’re interested.
