If you’ve been curious about the slip where manuals used to go in your Titanfall 2 box promoting Titanfall: Frontline, Respawn Entertainment has just announced that the upcoming mobile card game has been canceled.
A press release from the Titanfall: Frontline website stated:
“We’ve learned an incredible amount in the beta test of Titanfall: Frontline, but in the end felt the experience wasn’t ready to deliver the intense action-packed gameplay synonymous with Titanfall. While it’s never easy to cancel a game, we’re excited to take some of the concepts we saw resonate with players and build off of them in future Titanfall mobile games.”
Titanfall: Frontline was being developed by an inner branch of Respawn Entertainment called Particle City. The game was set to use the “burn cards” present in the original Titanfall as cards in a battle system.
Reception to Titanfall 2 is still going strong, with fans very happy about the ongoing support of free DLC and premium titan customization options at $4.99 each. The game is said to have support for at least the next year.
