Capcom has announced that beginning December 9th, Playstation Plus subscribers will gain access to an exclusive Beta for Monster Hunter: World.
On December 9th at 09:00 PT / 17:00 GMT / 18:00 CET the Beta goes live and ends December 12th. The preload will be available the 8th.
According to the Capcom-Unity Blog, “The beta features 3 quests across 2 environments from the game. In the Ancient Forest, you can hunt a fierce yet beginner-friendly Great Jagras or as a more experienced player confront the mighty threat of an Anjanath. In the Wildspire Waste, a massive, dry expanse with swamplands, you can face off against the intermediate level mud-slinging Barroth.”
Each of the three quests available can be done solo, or co-op with up to three other players. One of the best features of the Monster Hunter franchise is the weapon choices and this beta will include 14 different options for players to try out. Check out one of the many weapon showcase videos below available on the Monster Hunter Youtube channel.
The biggest benefit for participating in the Beta and completing each of the three quests for the first time will earn you item sets you can use in the full retail version. Items include lifepowder, max potions, shock traps as well as others and some customizing face paint for characters.
Capcom has also released a new intro trailer for the game which is in Japanese, but helps to increase the hype already present for the game.
Monster Hunter: World launches on January 26th for PS4 and Xbox One with PC coming later on.
