Earlier today the Mortal Kombat Community YouTube Channel has released a minute long video for Mortal Kombat X showing off the new DLC character Tanya, which previously she was not a playable character in the main story line, but in the trailer we see a fully fleshed out Tanya in all her glory. Tanya is currently the second character to come out from Moral Kombat Season Pass in coming after Jason Voorhees.
It’s unclear as to what kind of variations will be named after this initial trailer, but what is shown is a little glimpse of what her moves might be.
We first see Tanya going against Cassie Cage, showing off some interesting move sets of teleportation, almost similar to that of Scorpions moves but with a twist where she can launch her opponent into the air, followed by a combo of moves.
Then we see Tanya go against Kitana, where she sports an expendable staff just like Jade in 2011’s Mortal Kombat and also like Kitana in her variation “Mournful”.
Finally, Tanya faces off with Jacqui Briggs, this time Tanya has a more hand to hand fighting skill with a projectile almost like Johnny Cage’s move with his Energy Ball, but instead it’s more of a fire ball which she perform on the ground or in the air.
Lastly the trailer ends showing one of her fatality’s where she forces her way through her opponents body.
She will be available to download on June 2nd for people who bought the Kombat Pack and sold separately to everyone June 9th.
Also being released at the same time as Tanya is the Klassic Skins Packed, that includes original costumes for Liu Kang, Kano and Sonya Blade all from the first Mortal Kombat game from 1992.
