A New Trailer, a look at a New World, and the unveiling of the new Theme Song by the incomparable Utada Hikaru. Amazing combat, gorgeous graphics, and so much more have been shown off. Check out the new trailers and details for Kingdom Hearts 3 below.
There’s so much packed into this trailer. Monsters Inc. has been officially revealed as a new world. Sora, Donald and Goofy get a very interesting Monster inspired look as they attempt to fit in with the Monster crowd.
The most exciting thing though aside from the world design was the new gameplay we got to see. The abilities, the summons (WELCOME BACK ARIEL) the special teacup ride, the gorgeous graphics, it all comes together to create an amazing looking experience. Those abilities that fill up the screen, (which look like they could possibly be world specific, did you see that Tower in Rapunzel?) and all the different weapons look like such a fun time.
One of my personal favorite features though is the now confirmed ability to not have to choose between allies in each world. You, Donald and Goofy get to have both world allies assist you all the time. At least that’s what it looks like as in the bottom right-hand corner we get glimpses of Mike, Sully and their health bars above our main party. We get the same with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider in her world. Even Woody and Buzz in the new Toy Story gameplay footage. Gone are the days of having to leave someone behind.
Storywise, we get a look at Vanitas and Marluxia. We even see Riku (who clearly had some inspiration from FFXV’s Noctis in the outfit and haircut department) and King Mickey in the newly released theme song trailer for the latest Kingdom Hearts 3 theme “Don’t Think Twice” performed by KH veteran theme song singer Utada Hikaru. Check out a preview of “Don’t Think Twice” below.
Even with all this new information though, we still don’t have a concrete release date. We will be playing Kingdom Hearts 3 sometime this year on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Have the new trailers renewed your hype?
