During the Live Nintendo Switch Presentation last night, Suda51 of Grasshopper Manufacture announced that Travis Touchdown will be making a return on Nintendo’s new console. This bad-ass assassin is the main character of the No More Heroes series that started on the Nintendo Wii. The title hasn’t been decided yet but Suda51 says that the game will be “heavily influenced by pro wrestling”.
Suda51 has been discussing an idea for a new No More Heroes game for about a year now, he found that the Switch was an easy console to develop for. He hopes to take advantage of the system to bring Travis Touchdown to the Switch in the future.
No More Heroes was originally released on the Nintendo Wii back in 2008 with a sequel that came two years later in 2010 titled No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle.
A port of the first game was developed for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (In Japan). It featured updated graphics, PlayStation Move support, and bonus content that was not on the Wii version.
There were no further details on Travis Touchdown’s return.
