Spring anime suck this season? Not to worry, there are other, better shows that you can binge watch instead, and that’ll help you stop wondering whats going to happen with Deku and Kachan. Here are the top ten anime on Netflix streaming right now.
10. Ouran High School Host Club
Remember that one time when you broke an expensive vase and then were forced into being an indentured gigolo in a reverse harem? Well, then this anime might bring back some memories. This show is actually good clean fun for the whole family (apart from the whole reverse harem thing, and the possible twincest), highly recommended if you’re tired of all the doom and gloom surrounding other shows.
9. Devilman Crybaby
What happens when a teenage loser gets almost possessed by a demon but then gets the demon’s powers instead? A damn good anime, that’s what. This stylized show is for a more mature audience for it does not pull any punches with its nudity (not fan service), gore, and sometimes kinda messed up story. The art direction might be a turn off for some but after watching the show, I say that it enhances it to a whole different level.
8. Attack on Titan
What if suddenly a bunch of naked giants appeared out of nowhere and started eating people? You get your omnidirectional mobility gear and two swords and start slashing and hacking before they eat anyone else, which they will. A lot. Prepare to be on the edge of your seat and to not know what the hell is going on, but in the best possible way. Also learn this word: Yamerooooo!!
7. One Punch Man
Do you think being a hero for fun is fun when all you have to do is throw one punch to save the day? Then you will like this light-hearted anime where our hero kicks all sorts of ass. Well, punches. Once. A few times.
6. Soul Eater
What should you know about this anime? Soul reapers kick evil ass with their partners/weapons. Totally ship Maka and Soul, Black Star is a dork in a badass way, Death the Kid loves symmetry and Excalibur is the best sword ever.
What if a long time favorite video game franchise has suddenly turned anime? It actually turned out pretty damn good. It fleshes out the characters and story, and the art style suits its gothic theme really well. Too bad the show is only four 23-minute episodes, but it’s supposedly coming back this summer which is not too bad.
4. Your Lie In April
Do you like classical music and stories about growing up? This show will hit you right in the feels. Kousei is a young pianist who has lost passion for his craft and life. One day he meets a girl who helps him see how colorful life is. This show has a story that will hit you right in the feels, and the soundtrack is fantastic, even if you don’t like classical music the way the playing of the music is portrayed enhances the experience. Serious feels T^T
3. Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Why two series? Well, Fullmetal Alchemist follows the manga until about halfway through, then it goes on its own story because it caught up to the manga. You should still finish this one first since it has its own valid ending and it will make watching Brotherhood a lot better since it references many of the things that happen in Fullmetal Alchemist. They’re like two sides of the same coin. Oh, and by the way, this story is of two brothers who lost their mother and is one of the best stories ever. Don’t miss it.
2. Gurren Lagann
Do you like over the top stories and characters? My personal favorite anime of all time is just right for you. The story gets pretty crazy, our main character starts underground and ends up traveling through space and more and it takes you along with a positive attitude and kick-ass vibe. Throw logic out and do the impossible.
1. Death Note
Do you spend a lot of time in your head and allegedly keep a notebook of bad people you want dead? Oh, man, do I have the perfect show for you. Ligh Yagami kills bad people by writing their name down in his Death Note, the police take notice and try to find him so he can be stopped. Very cat and mouse-y anime, most of the interesting stuff that happens is inside the mind of each character as they try to figure out what’s what and who’s who. Also, don’t watch this live-action movie either, just don’t.
There you have it, the best anime you can watch right now on Netflix. There’s a lot of good anime shows on Netflix, but I recommended shows that I have personally finished, but also because they are a nice entry level for newcomers and can be enjoyed by everyone.
Anyways, hope you enjoy these recommendations and let us know about your favorite anime on Netflix, Violet Evergarden sucks, and have an awesome day.
