First things first, Persona 5 has a release date in Japan, and it’s set to be available on September 15, 2016. That’s exactly fifteen days before the other hugely anticipated JRPG Final Fantasy XV is set to release. It seems that Atlus is cashing in on the month right before the release, and Japan is in for some heavy hitting love on the PlayStation 4 this September.
Plus, here’s the official box art for the title as well.
While we still don’t have a release date for the west, it’s a very interesting situation players will be in, and it puts some perspective onto the survey out out by Square Enix a while back, asking whether players would be interested in grabbing Persona 5 or Final Fantasy XV.
Persona 5 will also have a 20th anniversary Collectors Edition in Japan, which will include an art book, a soundtrack with songs from previous Persona games in the series, and series-inspired DLC, with outfits from Persona 3 and 4 included.
Also revealed was a date for the Persona 5 anime, which will premiere in Japan this September as well. We also were informed that Persona 5 will be at E3 2016 this year so we will definitely get even more information soon.
Finally, here’s the new trailer for Persona 5 below!
The subtitled English version was provided by youtuber Ryan Shrinefox.
Style and presentation abound and it’s only a matter of time before we can get our hands on this beautiful title. We can hopefully expect a localized or subtitled version for E3 this year, so there’s even more to look forward to. Check back for more Persona 5 info soon!
