With the teaser trailer released only a couple days ago for Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth, the official trailer has been revealed on the official Persona Twitter.
With the title’s trailer released, fans can now breathe a sigh of release knowing that the entire cast from Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5 will be in Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth. Not only will the entire cast of those three games be appearing in the game, the female protagonist from Persona 3 Portable will be included in the sequel as well!
Also, fans of this title can get an idea of the upcoming title’s story from the trailer. The game’s official website has also been updated to include more information on the story along with a small synopsis of the sequel. From the synopsis (and I’m so sorry for my limited Japanese), it seems like one day, while the Phantom Thieves were exploring Mementos, the Morgana car lost control and the Thieves are transported to a space that leads to an odd cinema that attracts others with similar powers. In this odd cinema is where they meet Hikari, the white-haired girl, and Nagi, the lady in white.
It seems like the first print copies of Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth will include nine battle themes from the three Persona titles. They are the following:
- Persona 3 – Mass Destruction
- Persona 3 – Wiping All Out
- Persona Q – Light the Fire Up in the Night “KAGEJIKAN”
- Persona 4 – Reach Out To The Truth
- Persona 4 – Time to Make History
- Persona – Light the Fire Up in the Night “MAYONAKA”
- Persona 5 – Last Surprise
- Persona 5 – Life Will Change
- Persona 5 – Will Power
Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth will be released in Japan on November 29, 2018, for the Nintendo 3DS. As of now, there is no release date for the West but I am hopeful that there will be one. All I know is that I now have time to finish the first game!
