At the Kingdom Hearts III Premiere event, select fans were able to get a first-hand look at the game. They were able to play through Toy Box, a world based on Toy Story, and Olympus, a world based on the 1997 Disney film Hercules. In the game, players are able to summon Ralph from Wreck-It Ralph to assist in the battles.

Also, Famitsu was able to sit down and interview Tetsuya Nomura and Tai Yasue about the upcoming title. According to Tai Yasue, each world will adopt new features. For example, in Olympus, the player can dive from the sky and climb up the walls so players can explore the world. Then in Toy Box, the player will be able to control Gigas (a robot) in battle.
Lastly, according to Tetsuya Nomura, he hopes to announce the release date of Kingdom Hearts III early next month. So maybe we’ll get the release date around E3… One can only hope that is when we’ll hear about the release date.
I’m excited and I’m happy that Ralph is a summon even though I think it would be interesting to see a world based on Wreck-It Ralph just because there are so many possibilities of what they can do in that world. Also, I can’t wait to see what new features have been adopted into Kingdom Hearts III and how they will allow me to venture around the world a bit more than the previous games. Lastly, I am curious to see how the story will play out in each world and how they will contribute to the game’s main story.
