“Batman: Return to Arkham” available on October 21st and for now, a new graphics comparison trailer
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has finally shed some light on the recent release date disappearance for their upcoming superhero sim redux. Originally slated for July 26th, the developers have finally confirmed that the highly anticipated re-release of “Batman: Arkham Asylum”, and “Batman: Arkham City” will be available October 21st.
If you’ve never experienced any of the Batman Arkham series or are simply just a beloved fan to the games, now is a great time to return to the infamous madhouse. Running on Unreal Engine 4, the remaster offers improved character models, lighting, and other touches to the environment.
All DLC will be included with the remaster, including the story expansion for Arkham City: Harley Quinns Revenge. Unfortunately, prequel to the Arkham series Batman: Arkham Origins will not be included with the collection.
I’ve been a fan of the Batman Arkham series since it first came out back on Xbox 360. Personally, the series is unlike anything I’ve ever played, and every game continues to amaze me with its diverse tone and gameplay mechanics.
Combining stealth, a unique “free-flow” combat system, and incredible voice acting, the Arkham series quickly became one of my favorite superhero games and action adventure games of all time. If you’re thinking that Arkham Asylum will feel too outdated, let me reassure you that it’s not only a perfect intro to the series, but maintains a unique tone and a distinct gameplay style unlike Arkham City.
Batman: Return to Arkham will be available on Playstation 4 and Xbox One for $50.00.
