With news coming out about the Spyro Reignited Trilogy and its official release date for both PS4 and Xbox One, it seemed very strange that there was no Nintendo Switch announcement. However, an apparently ‘accidental’ listing on the official Nintendo UK website may have just revealed that the Spyro Trilogy could be coming to the Switch after all.
Twitter user Nibel revealed a link that showed none other than the Spyro Reignited Trilogy listed on the official Nintendo UK website for pre-order. The listing was complete with a price of £39.99. This listing has since of course been taken down.

The listings description was unfinished and looked incomplete. Which means that this could have been made accidentally by the third party company that manages the site. Some are assuming that the listing was made in haste of the announcement thinking that it had also been announced for the Switch. But that seems to be quite a mistake for a game that they just assumed was announced.
Surely they had some sort of idea that the game would be coming to Switch. However, when GameInformer reached out to Activision they were told that there was nothing to announce about the game coming to another platform.
The game will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One on September 21st. Which does leave some time for Nintendo and Activision to announce a Switch port. Perhaps Nintendo is saving the announcement for a later Direct, but it wouldn’t really be much of a surprise.
What would be more surprising is if the game ended up never coming to the Nintendo Switch at all. Which is certainly a possibility, but one that wouldn’t make much sense. But what do you guys think?
