Western Vita owners can rejoice as the previously Japan only release of Tales of Hearts R has finally been given a western release date for the Vita following strong demand for more ‘Tales’ based action from fans of the cult RPG series. It will hit the Americas on November 14th followed by a European release on November 14th.
The updated and revamped Vita version of the 2008 DS original comes with fully 3D models, additional anime cut scenes to flesh out the story and full voice acting. The western release will include the original Japanese audio for fans who desire authenticity with their anime styled RPGs.
Namco Bandai have provided the following background for their first Vita based Tales adventure:
The adventure starts with Kor, a young man living in a small village by the sea. While watching the house in his grandfather’s absence, Kor meets a young woman named Kohaku who has come searching for his grandfather.
However, a mysterious witch soon appears and casts a spell on Kohaku’s Spiria, the embodiment of her heart and soul. Kor attempts to lift the spell, but while doing so he accidentally shatters her Spiria Core, the source of her emotions. Armed only with the Soma, an unusual weapon given to him by his grandfather, Kor must now set out on a journey to find a way to make Kohaku’s Spiria whole once more.
Focusing on the Tales trademark of exciting and fast paced battles including the new Aerial Chase Linear Motion Battle System to extend combos into the skies along with an engaging and emotional story, Tales of Hearts R looks to set a benchmark for JRPGs among the growing catalog available for Vita.
Again the release dates for Tales of Hearts R are as follows
Americas November 11th
Europe November 14th
