Any 90’s Disney fans out there? Well sit down for a moment because there’s some very nostalgic news coming your way. The Disney Afternoon Collection is making its way to PS4, Xbox One and PC on April 18th. Strangely enough the 6 games on offer debuted on the NES so keep reading to find out what they are!
These games it should be stated are NOT remasters, they are simply ports of the old 8-bit classics but thats by no means a bad thing. The retro games of yesteryear are very easily forgotten in this day and age, with our HD graphics and giant televisions. Sometimes there is nothing better than taking a trip down memory lane and listening to those chirpy chip tunes.
On The Disney Afternoon Collection you’ll find Darkwing Duck, DuckTales 1 & 2, TaleSpin, Chip ‘N Dale Rescue Rangers and its’ sequel. It’s a good little morsel. Each of the titles features new modes and different ways to play should you not want to take the traditional route. If you’re old enough to remember the originals then you can also visit the museum where you can view concept art and some making-of features.
A lot of those retro games are now insanely difficult compared to todays standards, so in lieu of new players and perhaps to lessen frustration Capcom have added a function that allows you to rewind time so you can re-do a part where you died.
What are your thoughts about this new bundle? Were you around to play when any of the originals came out? The stand out game for me here is certainly DuckTales but let us know in the comments below.
