EA has made their new Titanfall Companion App available for download on mobile devices. Seems like EA really wants you to get interactive with more than just your Xbox One controller. This app offers some neat features like the in-game mini map, game stats and even favorite weapon choices. I love when companies discover new ways to have us, the players, take a game on the go.
The Titanfall Companion App can really become useful, especially when trying to view in-game stats while in the middle of a match. Imagine going on a kill streak and you only have a split second to view your current stats. I don’t know about you guys but I have failed many times when trying to press the corresponding button on my Xbox One controller. Now with this companion app, I can have the game stats readily available to me without having to jeopardize my current streak. The mini map however, I personally would not use because well, I already have that on my screen as I play. Having to constantly stare down at my phone to see where my opponents are would be risky and can end up in getting squashed by an opposing Titan. In any case, the Titanfall Companion App is available for download today and can be used across all mobile platforms.
In other news, Larry Hryb, better known as Major Nelson, tweeted the following this morning “The latest Xbox One system update has started to roll out.” The big feature in this new system update is the ability to control individual app volumes. So essentially, you can lower in game volume and raise chat or music volume to whatever levels you’d like. This can be especially helpful if you love to talk to friends via chat but can barely hear what they say because of how ridiculously loud the in-game audio is. Now you will be able to adjust volumes accordingly, so you can throw your frag grenades at full force and not have to worry about the loud explosion affecting your skype chat. A small detail but it is absolutely appreciated.
