Another great week in the nerd world has passed and I’m going to tell you about a few things that happened, here are the top 3 things of the week:
3. Xbox Project Scorpio
Project Scorpio’s specs were unveiled this week and I’m here to answer some of your burning questions on it.
But first specs and comparisons:
Is it more powerful than the PS4 Pro? Yes, for sure.
Is it the most powerful console ever? Hopefully not, but it will be the most powerful when it comes out later this year.
What time is it? High noon.
Will it play 4K? Oh Yeah.
Will it play 1080 p? Yes it will, and it will down scale from 4K for better quality too.
Will it make the perfect unburned peace of toast? Sadly the technology for such a feat is not here yet, but a man can dream.
Is it backwards compatible? It has been reported that project Scorpio will be able to run Xbox 360 and Xbox One games better than in their native consoles.
We all have more questions that need answering and with a scheduled holiday release this year we can expect them to be answered soonish, in the upcoming E3 perhaps?
2. Boruto (spoilers)
“The age of shinobi is over” *metal clashes* “I didn’t think you’d go this far Kawaki” says a grown battle-weary Boruto.
Boruto and Kawaki face each other on a destroyed Hokage Rock.
“I’ll send you where I sent the Seventh Hokage, Boruto” says bad guy Kawaki.
“Was this the only possible outcome?” asks Boruto
“Yes, that’s right.” Kawaki announces “The age of shinobi… is over”
“I’m still a shinobi!” battle cries Boruto as he charges towards Kawaki
The first episode of the series and we find a Leaf Village all gone to hell, Naruto is probably dead, all the Hokages faces in Hokages Rock are all kinds of messed up, and someone spilled milk on the carpet (we’re never getting rid of that smell); but that was a mere tease into the future of what is to be Boruto’s story, because his story actually starts on the day before his first day at the ninja academy and…
Look I’m not going to spoil any more of the show just in case you want to watch it, but I will say that it’s a fun ride and you should watch it.
If you love ninjas and could not watch the Naruto series because that’s a lot of episodes, now is the perfect time to get into this brand new ninja story, albeit with some old faces thrown in there for good measure.
1. Persona 5
Persona 5 released this past week and it has already sold more than 1.5 million copies and for good measure too. This Jungian freedom Japanese slice of life game has been praised all across the board for its stylish visuals great music, great gameplay, and awesome story.
There is an official review for this game on our site to come so all I will say is that if you love anime and jrpgs’ then this game will more than satisfy the weebo inside you.
For a taste of it click here for the first hour by an amateur let’s player but you should really try this awesome game for yourself.
Ann is bae
I realize that I missed a lot of things that happened but honestly, I’ve been very distracted by life and Persona 5 (mostly Persona), so go ahead and tell me what I missed and I will be sure to check it out 🙂
