No More Heroes fans, your wait for a sequel confirmation is over. In a surprising turn of events, a sequel to the cult-classic No More Heroes series has been announced at the Nindies Showcase. This game is aptly called No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again.
A lot going on in the trailer, eh? But let’s try to break it down.
Travis Strikes Again Is Indie At Heart
The game undoubtedly carries quite a large budget, but it’s clear that this game is for indie fans. Moreover, it is to feature collaborations with other indie games such as Hotline Miami, and more to be announced. This game looks to be the champion among indies. Like previous games, the game is to be developed by Suda51 and his team, Grasshopper Manufacture, in collaboration with Marvelous Entertainment.
The plot of the game takes place 7 years after Travis’s bloody rise to the top of assassins in the first game. A villain known as The Bat seeks revenge against Travis Touchdown for killing his daughter, Bad Girl, one of the many bosses from the first game.
This revenge is quickly interrupted by the activation of a Phantom Console that forces them both to survive in a death game. Travis is in for quite a ride this time, to say the least.
The release date of Travis Strikes Again is unknown, but set to release sometime in 2018 for the Nintendo Switch.
