Ahead of Fire Emblem Warriors Japanese release on September 28, 2017, Koei Tecmo released a couple trailers showcasing the two royal families from Fire Emblem Fates for Fire Emblem Warriors.
For the Hoshido royal family, Ryouma, Hinoka, Takumi, Sakura, and male Corrin are playable. Ryouma and male Corrin are the sword wielders while Hinoka is a lance flying unit. Takumi and Sakura are archers.
On the Nohrian side, Xander, Camilla, Leo, Elise, and female Corrin are playable. The sword wielders are Xander and female Corrin. Camilla is an axe unit with her dragon while Leo and Elise are the magic users.
Although the character roster for Fire Emblem Warriors will be focusing on characters from Shadow Dragon, Awakening, and Fates, I’m happy that the characters seem to have a different play style. From the trailer, it seems like Sakura attacks from a bit of a distance compared to Takumi. I’m surprised with Camilla’s moveset and I’m excited to play as her when the game launches in the West on October 20. The biggest shocker to me is that Azura has not and may not be included in Fire Emblem Warriors because she is one of the main characters from Fates and featured heavily in the promo art as well.
Maybe Azura will be revealed at a later date, what do you think? Will you be picking up Fire Emblem Warriors? Let us know in the comments below or tweet us @wtfgamersonly.
