At long last, Geralt’s final adventure has a date. And not just that, but new details were revealed as well as a new trailer to preview what’s in store. Plus some new screenshots have been revealed to show more of Blood and Wine.
Catch the new teaser trailer for The Witcher: Blood and Wine expansion below!
In the expansion, Geralt will be exploring the region of Toussaint, a region much more peaceful than the lands we are used to. It’s not as peaceful as it seems though; there is a dark secret to find in this new adventure.
The new expansion will feature a new region with around 90 new quests of all sorts, with the game time ending up at 30+ hours. Some newly released screenshots show just how amazing this new expansion looks.
Oh, I can’t wait to see Toussaint for myself.
The best thing about this reveal is that a release date has finally been confirmed! Blood and Wine will be released May 31st, 2016. The expansion is covered under the season pass for The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt.
There is no official news on a physical release being planned like Hearts of Stone. It would be pretty sweet to get more Gwent cards.
This information is long awaited, seeing as CD Projekt RED has been keeping a lot of this information a secret for so long. This DLC will be the final adventure for Geralt, so anticipation has been high to see just how it ends. When Hearts of Stone was released, while it was fun, it did leave a bit to be desired. Geralt wasn’t on an adventure to save anyone; it was just another day in his life with a job constantly getting more complicated. Blood and Wine will likely be another thankless job for Geralt, but finding a dark secret an entire region holds sounds far more interesting than a heist. May there be plenty of slain monsters and wine in the end.
What are you looking forward to in the Blood and Wine expansion?
