As of this morning, Yooka-Laylee has a brand new trailer and a not-so-distant release date! Oh, and maybe a confirmation that the game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch? Happy early holidays, on the house!
I guess I’ll start with the most exciting news from this small information dump. Schedule yourself off or call in sick April 11th, because that is the day! Yooka-Laylee will be available on the Xbox One, PS4, PC, Mac, and Linux, and if that isn’t soon enough, you can pre-order the game from Amazon, Steam, and the above-mentioned consoles. As a bonus, if you throw your money down now, you will unlock access to the Toy Box demo! So figure out what system you want this game on (you know you already want it), the time is now!
But Nintendo owners may be a bit bummed. Don’t bother double checking the list I mentioned, the Wii U version has officially been canceled…To make room for a Nintendo Switch version! Although not officially confirmed that it will be heading to the elusive new Switch, Playtonic Games announced early this morning that they are working closely with Nintendo to bring a version of the game to The Switch. More news about that update will arrive early in 2017.
Now, last, but most certainly not least, the new level! Also today, a trailer for Capital Cashino was thrown up on Youtube, and oh my god, yes! With plenty of crooked and corrupt puns to last a lifetime, and sneakingly showing off some new abilities, this trailer is much appreciated. After all, it is still 4 months away from release, so I’m always onboard for some small nuggets of joy to tide me over until then.
Are you super pumped for this game? (I’m super pumped!)
