If like me you are patiently waiting for the Switch version of Playtonic’c epic platformer Yooka-Laylee, then you’ll be happy to hear that the developers are still hard at work and the game is coming along nicely.
Playtonic tweeted yesterday that progress is still going strong and although it came out in April for PS4, Xbox One and PC us Switch players must be patient as it’s very much on the horizon.
Something for the weekend, Nintendo Switch fans? The team continues to work hard and we hope to have more news soon! Thanks for your support pic.twitter.com/kcSup6lodt

Branded as a spiritual successor to the classic platformer Banjo-Kazooie on the N64, Yooka-Laylee received mostly positive reviews upon its release and has you playing as Yooka and Laylee traversing the world, collecting pagies and trying to over throw the big bad Capital B.
From seeing various game play videos I know it’s going to be a game I’ll fall in love with, it seems to have certainly captured the charm and wit that people fell for with Banjo Kazooie and I’m really glad Playtonic are still supporting the Switch version. I did have a bad feeling it would be forgotten about but I guess with the success of the Switch it would be silly to miss out on that audience!
