Nintendo fans can be very vocal sometimes. When Wind Waker first came out, many fans thought that its art style was a mistake. Now its one of the most beloved in the franchise. Skyward Sword underwent some similar criticism for its motion controls upon its release. However, since then the game’s champions have come out of the woodwork and defended it as a great game. So it is very exciting news to hear that it could get a second chance with a possible The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword Switch port.
It seems that during The Legend of Zelda Concert in Osaka Japan this past weekend the controversial Wii title might have just been teased by the series director. Eiji Aonuma had several in attendance in awe after reportedly teasing a possible re-release of Skyward Sword.
It seems Aonuma teased Skyward Sword for Switch at the Zelda concert in Osaka today. Multiple attendees are tweeting about it.

Of course, there is no official confirmation that this took place. Though people who claim to have been in attendance have tweeted that it was so. It does make sense that Skyward Sword would receive the HD treatment next.
Seeing how quiet Nintendo tries to keep their announcements, it is surprising to think that Aonuma would so nonchalantly announce it with no fanfare from Nintendo.
It may have just been Aonuma acknowledging that he knows that the fans do want it. Not necessarily a confirmation that it is happening. The Game Awards are on the horizon though, and we know that announcements have been made at the awards before. Could this be one of the announcements?
Now, all we can do is wait. If there was a Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword Switch port it would probably no doubt do well. Several ports have already proven to be very successful on Switch and with a little distance between the release of Breath of the Wild, fans are ready for another Zelda experience.
